From February 5th 2024, there will be some organizational changes in Grieg Seafood Newfoundland.

Knut Skeidsvoll, the Managing Director of Grieg Seafood Newfoundland, is retiring from his position. Skeidsvoll has been leading the development of the aquaculture project in Placentia Bay from its commencement in 2014 until the first harvest of the first generation in 2023. Skeidsvoll will stay in the company for a period of transition until June 2024. During the next months, he will lead the development of the Post-Smolt building, whose first phase is currently under construction.

Perry Power, Grieg Seafood Newfoundland’s HR and Communications Director, is also retiring from his position after eight years of service.

Grieg Seafood will soon start the process of hiring a new Managing Director for the Newfoundland region. In the interim time, Grant Cumming, the Chief Operating Officer of Farming North America, will take on the responsibilities of the Managing Director.

The changes were effective from February 5th 2024.

Grieg Seafood would like to thank both Knut and Perry for all of their work and wish them the best of luck in the next chapter of their lives.
