New eggs arrive in Marystown

First eggs for the 2021 season arrive in Marystown

This past Saturday, April 17th, the first eggs for the 2021 season arrived in Newfoundland by way of the nearby Winterland airstrip. By making use of the normally dormant airstrip, we were able to cut several days off of our delivery schedule, which is vital when transporting precious organic content.

The all-female, sterile eggs were transported to our First Feed facility in Marystown where they will be hatched and begin the growth process. Things are quickly ramping up in our First Feed and Smoltification facilities as salmon are growing larger by the day under the guidance of our enthusiastic and dedicated staff.
