Ronja Islander Incident
On Saturday the 8th of March, a contractor's vessel, on hire to Grieg Seafood BC, collided with a rock in Tahsis Inlet.

The incident was reported to the relevant authorities and to our first Nation Partners. There were no injuries or pollution as a result of the incident, and there were no fish on board at the time, but the vessel has sustained some damage. It made its way to the West Coast Marine Terminal under its own power where the vessel is in a stable condition and undergoing assessment. A full report has been made to the authorities who will determine what further action is required.

"We do not at this time know the cause of the accident but once the investigation has been completed, we will look to learn from this event and do everything we can to minimize the likelihood of a reoccurrence in future." says COO Grant Cumming. "It is regrettable that the incident happened, we are pleased that nobody was hurt and there has been no pollution as a result of the incident".
