Research & Development

Our R&D team supports the success and advancement of our farming operations. Roles can vary within departments that focus on fish health, farm technology, quality control, environmental monitoring and sustainability.

Salmon farming is one of the newest forms of farming yet is quickly becoming one of the most advanced. It’s a precision-based industry, reliant on research, innovation and forward-thinking employees to improve at a fast pace.

Grieg is committed to adapting the newest technologies to solve our challenges, improve efficiency and advance quality, but we rely on the right people to help us get there.

Positions in R&D departments vary, from Environmental Specialists, Fish Health Technicians, Treatment Coordinators, Quality Control and Veterinarians. These are often roles that require previous experience in aquaculture and/or appropriate education, such as degrees in biology or veterinary sciences.

Often these positions divide their time between our office in Campbell River, Gold River and our farms, travelling by vehicle and boat. Sometimes this work requires overnight stays on an accommodation barge or on our wellboat. We are an inclusive employer, and welcome applications from all qualified individuals.
